Deadlines:

Payment - June 1st, 2007

The DEADLINE for the last summer camp payments is due June 1st, 2007.  For scouts, in the majority of cases, the amount is $250.00 (for total payment of$450.00.  However, IF THERE ARE TWO or MORE BROTHERS GOING, you may deduct $10.00 for the 2nd brother. Last payment for leaders, in most cases is $175.00 (total of $375.00).

Please review your summer camp packets that you received and start filling out the forms/make doctor appointments if needed.  Packets are due ASAP to John Christopoulos.

Merit Badge Offerings:

Review merit badge offerings with your scout.  Some of the merit badges do have prerequisites that need to be completed prior to camp.  Cherry Valley will NOT be offering opportunities to do the prerequisites at the camp.  Newer scouts working on their First Class Emphasis really need to focus on badges with fewer demand such as basketry, leatherwork, etc.  Keep in mind that scouts MAY sign up for a class in  Scouts MAY sign up for a class in First Class Emphasis to just focus on those requirements. However, if your scout just has a few items to complete towards FCE, it is recommended to NOT sign up for the class. The Cherry Valley program is organized such that the scout can complete their remaining FCE requirements during free time.  Plan on signing up for 3 merit badges per scout. Make sure that
scouts that are younger than 14 do not sign up for rifle shooting
badges or for archery. Also do not sign them up for Small Boat
Sailing. This information is all in your packet if there is confusion, but feel free to contact me with questions.
